Conclusion: Uh… so the answer is not really.

After figuring out how to use WordPress and getting this blog to look decent, my partner asked why I wasn’t sharing it with anyone. I told him it’s more of a personal space for me, where I don’t want to feel limited by what I post. He suggested I make a separate site for that kind of thing, like a proper portfolio or professional website.

So that’s what I’m working on right now, finally building a portfolio site.

What’s funny is that I get way more inspired at the thought of creating visuals for this blog than I do for my portfolio site. I think it’s because, with my blog, I know my boss won’t see it, my professors won’t see it, and the people who might judge me based on my life won’t see it either. It feels so easy to just make something silly, something I genuinely enjoy. The portfolio site would be the opposite, people will see it: my boss, potential employers, clients. It’s meant to compete with work from incredibly talented and dedicated designers, so there’s this pressure to present myself in a polished, professional way. But I don’t really know how to do that. I only really know how to be myself.

I also still gotta pay for a nice domain so that it isn’t ultra mega long, but here‘s the link to the WIP site. You can watch me fill it up super slowly with my projects 🙂
