The first thing on a woman’s mind in the morning, and the last thing a man wants to talk about; chores, groceries, household responsibility. Like most couples, chores holds tension on our relationship, bickering ensues.

One emotional period later, as in literally on my period, I sat down with good ol’ ChatGPT and created a chore chart. Through that process I sparked the idea of how I could encourage my partner to complete these boring jobs. Perhaps the small promised perks through the month, such as a dictation of a family activity, or a sweet treat to be had together, and the race to the finish line might encourage him.

This A3 sketch is where I am at this very moment. It’s waiting for me to focus and outline it so I can place it on the fridge for testing. With testing we’ll see if it takes too long, or is too quick to complete! Hopefully my partner won’t be cheeky if he reaches too many prizes way too quickly! I want the board to take about a month to complete, because the grand prize is $50 and I’m not trying to give that away more than once a month for rushed chores.
